Pushpa 2 Movie Analysis:
Sukumar is credited with introducing the actor in Allu Arjun to the fullest. You can watch “Pushpa 2” in your theaters at least two or three times just to see that actor’s versatility. And Sukumar’s mark emotions & elevations are all a bonus. Pushpa Gadi is sure to create a buzz in mass theaters for at least four weeks. The sensation this movie is creating, especially in the North market, is not uncommon.
Since Part 3 The Rapture has also been officially announced, that movie is sure to create new Indian records whenever it releases. After this movie, Allu Arjun’s brand is sure to go to another level. Now, we will keep finding out what the movie collections are by looking at the posters released by the film crew. However.. the movie “Pushpa 2” is beyond collections. Because.. this movie is not just about collections.. Allu Arjun is respected as an actor & Sukumar is famous for his style as a writer.
Actors' performance:
Allu Arjun received the National Award for “Pushpa” as an actor, but in fact, he should be given an even bigger award for his performance in “Pushpa 2: The Rule”. Allu Arjun rocked the character of Pushparaj with poise and poise as if he had mastered the character of that character. Especially in the scene where he sheds tears in the fair sequence and says, “I want to have a girl child,” Allu Arjun’s full-fledged actor came out. The Ammoru Thalli song in the same fair sequence and Allu Arjun’s Rudratandan in the Old Fort sequence are something that will be talked about for years to come.
This is a film that takes Allu Arjun to another level as an actor. This film not only creates undisputed stardom for Bunny, especially in the Bihar market, but also brings Bunny a long-lasting name in the North. The entire film is seen as Pushparaj’s talent, and the audience watches the film with that talent. This is a testament to the impact that Allu Arjun has created as an actor.
Usually, in mass entertainers of this type, heroines do not have a big role except for songs. But.. even though Rashmika's character of Srivalli in this film is a bit embarrassing.. her character is an average housewife who does not say a word to her husband, but Rashmika's performance is very impressive to the audience. Rashmika's dance steps in the song Peelings should also make the balcony audience sway.
Fahadh Faazil got a little more screen time this time. However.. it seems that his caliber was not fully utilized. Since he was shown as too much of a comedian in the swimming pool scene & wildfire sequence.. Pushparaj was left without a strong villain to hit God. Sunil, who was shown very powerfully in the first part, was made a comedian in the second part. Rao Ramesh once again showed his power. No matter how much he talks about his peculiar acting in the police station scene, it is not enough.
Jagapathi Babu's character is not fully introduced, but it is understood that the main villain is the character of Veera Pratap. If you want to know what this Veera Pratap will do, you have to wait for the third part. Although Ajay is initially seen only as an angry older brother, the sentiment he cultivates at the end is the highlight of the film. Tarak Ponnappa's role is small, but its impact is strong. And in the special song of Srileela, he made the boy unable to look away with his exciting dance moments.
Technical performance:
The problem with "Pushpa" from the beginning is not the police officer Shekhawat, not the syndicate head Mangalam Seenu, and even less so his wife Dakshayani. Pushpa Gadi's real problem is the surname that his stepbrother Mohan Raj (Ajay) stole from him. How Sukumar deals with this problem is the most interesting thing. That's where Sukumar shows his mark.
In the fair sequence, how important a surname is to Pushparaj and how much he suffers due to not having it is established. The way he answers it after the fort fight is the main highlight of the film. Especially, Sukumar has achieved great success as a director and writer in creating a drama that can make a big mass hero shed tears and make the audience feel that pain too. Whenever “Mulleti Pushparaj” appears on the screen.. every single audience thinks of “Sadhakchanura Pushpa Gadu”.
A director cannot achieve more than this. How he executed the Pushpa vs. Shekhawat scene and how he dealt with the smuggling of red sandalwood are the pinnacle of Sukumar's brilliance. However.. if we look at it overall, more marks should be given to the writer than to the director in Sukumar. He wrote the "Last Name" sequence so well. Where the marks as a director fall short.. is the way he placed the song "Souseki", ending it without giving even a clue as to why he actually went to Japan, and despite giving a good hint for Part 3.. the lack of detail to hook the audience can be attributed to the reasons. However.. if we put these logics aside, the mass audience will enjoy the rampage of "Pushparaj" in a range.
Kuba's cinematography work is crazy. The fort fight sequence & the lorry chasing sequence at the beginning of the second half were executed very well. Dragon Prakash should also be praised for the fight scenes. The mass audience will enjoy the carnage that Pushpa commits even if his hands and legs are tied without considering the logic. The production design & art department work is good. The writer in Sukumar has not given complete freedom to the editor.
While Devi Sri Prasad's songs are already blockbusters, he has shown his mettle with the background music. Also.. Sam CS, who provided the additional background score, has also elevated the busy mood given to the fair sequence very well. The producers trusted Sukumar strongly and spent as much as they wanted. In some places, more than necessary is seen. However.. think that the reward for their hard work will come in the form of collections in two weeks.
